About the Limited Edition Giclee, Fine Art Prints

The word "Giclee" is derived from the French language word "gicler" meaning "to squirt or spray". This artwork is reproduced using high density, resin coated pigment inks sprayed onto the finest mould-made papers. Giclees have a better and richer color gamut than lithographs due to the brilliance of the pigments used, making the process optimal for reproducing the artist's poppy palette. The use of high end inks and papers tested and selected by the artist make the archival properties of these prints greater than traditional lithography prints.

Every print is produced by the artist in his studio with maximum attention to detail and integrity. Pigments are applied in concentrations 25% greater than typical fine art reproductions, giving the prints a deeper saturation, heavier body and greater fade resistance. Papers are museum quality, cotton rag, natural white, lignin and acid free. Giclees have a light fastness rating up to 200 years.

The Giclee is quickly becoming the new standard in the fine art industry, and is widely embraced for its astonishing quality by major museums, galleries and artists. Numerous examples of giclee prints have included works by Annie Leibovitz, Chuck Close, and Wolfgang Tillmans.

Prints are numbered, as well as accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the artist.
